The winning and honorable mention entries from the Dingbat 2.0 Competition were announced at the LA Forum’s Dingbat 2.0 Exhibition opening on Saturday, June 19th, at LA Forum Events @ WUHO*. There were EIGHT professional winners and FIVE student winners selected for the competition from over 80 architects and designers from 18 countries.

Our project for Dingbat 2.0 proposes a Variegated Mat-scape™ as a prototype for generating spatial, programmatic, and material variation.

This summer the LA Forum’s “On The Map” series draws from the spirit of excess celebrating the obsessive spirit of the small project, and maps a momentary constellation of Los Angeles projects that speak to larger aspirations than size.

A book of twenty of Mudford’s black and white photographs of every day architecture in several American cities, including Los Angeles.   The book was designed and handbound by architect Gary Paige. Released in Spring, 1988.
