Land Listening and Materials Mapping
2-4pm @ Emma Gray HQ , Santa Monica
Join LA Forum, Yale Women in Architecture, Make Conscious, and Wise Matter for a shared space of listening to the land and home.
Kate Bachner (from Wise Matter) lost her home.
Jessica (Make Conscious, Yale Women in Architecture) will do a live phenomenal home and materials mapping demo with Kate where Jessica guides Kate in grieving and mapping the remains of Kate's home. It will be heartfelt, vulnerable, poetic and profound. Facilitators will guide the group after they bear witness to the process. We will close with some insights from Kate on materials to consider in rebuilding.
This event is open to all. Preparations for participants (optional): bring something from your land/home and an offering for you home/land.

Leigh Adams (from Studio Petrichor and Poly/Ana) lost her home.

We will close with some insights on soil remediation to consider in rebuilding with Lynn Fang (SoilWise).
